Going Bananas - Monkey Treat Bags

banana Treat Bag
With a few days away from work I have managed to have a good “play” on my Quickutz Silhouette, which is a much under used tool in my craftroom.
Going Banans
I have a monthly subscription with Quickutz, which  they have recently changed slightly, but for approximately £7.00 a month I can download about 50 templates. Going Bananas
I bought a huge bag of foam bananas and remembered this monkey template that I had downloaded – and thought I would try it on some sweetie bag toppers.

I can’t say it’s the easiest tool to use and I think it helps that I am quite good at using a computer. It took me quite a while to sort out the template, making separate sheets of bodies, faces, noses and eyes in the different colours that I needed to make up the monkeys. But now saved, I will be able to use them over and over again, and it beats cutting everything out by hand!

  1. Hello, I would love to make some sweetie bags for friends for Easter but don't have a cutting machine, can you get punches which do lovely lable shapes like you use on top of your bags? Thank you

  3. Hi Helen

I'm an avid follower of yours, checking daily with what new ideas you have!

I am a cancer patient and make cards for cancer charities, donating every single penny to them. Along with a couple of friends we make quite a bit of money for them which is good news.

My website is called "The Furry Monkey" so as you can imagine I love the monkey and the bananas. It's a shame I don't have one of those machines (funds are extremely low sadly) as I'd love some monkeys to put on my cards.

I also love your monkey blog site too, of course, and wonder where he gets his wonderful wardrobe from. He's very stylish!

I'm going to put a link to his site from mine, as he's such a lovely little fella!

Thanks for cheering me up and giving me new ideas all the time.

    Bye for now

Thank you for wanting to leave a comment. I HATE verification and apologise for the extra bother it causes, however, if I don't have it I get all sorts of dubious spam added and the comments would be bogged down utter ***p!

Occasionally I get comments on posts from several years ago, again, I have to apologise, copies of TEMPLATES etc. that I once offered are now NO LONGER AVAILABLE, when my last computer died, I lost everything and decided not to replace any them.
