I love my Stampin Up circle punches, but wondered if I could make a simpler sort of Halloween Trick or Treat sweetie bag using my Accessorize stickers and Cadbury Dairy Milk Miniatures and this is what I have come up with ...
I made a template of the miniature wrapper so I knew what size to cut my “new” wrappers. It was easier to leave the original wrapper on the chocolate rather than risk ripping the foil and it made no difference to the finished idea.
After wrapping each chocolate, which only took a few seconds (using double sided tape with my ATG gun), I could get on with the best bit ….. the embellishing! I added a tiny bit of glue to the back of each sticker to make sure they didn’t come off, and then added a few doodles using black and white gel pens, which really made the stickers pop out.
The bag topper is made using a die from Nestabilities Label set No.4, with a bit of faux stitching and a Stampin Up scalloped circle. I just love these stickers …… it’s so hard to let them go!!!
The Cadbury Miniatures were from Home Bargains - they cost about £1.25 and there are 20 in a pack.

Wow Helen! These look great! Can I come round to your house and do trick or treating? Bet your reputation for fab Halloween treats will be the 'word on the street' and you'll have queues for miles! :-)
ReplyDeleteJust superb indeed. As usual Am loving all your projects. Hoping my younest is going to manage to get some of the scary hands today. Where do you get the mini choc bars from? I have ordered the 1 3/8 SU circle punch as ATM they are on offer of 25% off making the punch just a little over £9.00 - the reason for the discount is some items been discontinued or like the punches the design is changing after Oct. 1st but the punch will be more expensive than the full price (so I understand) but guess you know this from Lisa.
ReplyDeleteFantastic ...such fun ...and so clever ...great effect. I can just imagine how pleased the recipient of a gift like this would be.xx
ReplyDeleteAnother great idea from the desk of Helen! *Ü* I know that if I received a treat like this, your efforts would not be unrewarded and I would recycle the stickers. I guess the reason I prefer scrapbooking to cards, is the fact I get to keep my hard work and efforts! Not that I don't make cards - or gifts but I do enjoy the products that I make. *Ü*
