Christmas Tree Card

This card was a nightmare to photograph trying to get the colours looking right.
Jewelled Christmas tree card
I am still not 100% happy with it, it needs a little something else, but I’m not quite sure what.  I tried it on white card and it looked very stark, perhaps it needs a contrasting band of colour behind the centre panel? Picture 041
As I said a while ago, I am trying to use up all my “old” Christmas stuff before I buy anything new - (except for absolute bargains and Poundland/Poundshop goodies) as a bit of an economy drive. I’ve had several packets of these embellishments for years, and have never found a use for them …. it says £2.75 on the back, I would never have paid that,  I seem to dimly remember that I got them for 70% off in a sale.

It was a little fiddly trying to align the embellishments up equally. To finish the design all I have added is a silver star, a container and a few extra gems.

  2. I like this card a lot but maybe a band of velveteen ribbon down either side of the tree would nicely set it off, too. Just a thought. Frankly, I would be pleased to receive it as it is. Great use of these gems!

  3. It's beautiful - I did something similar (not as sparkly) and I found that stamping a swirly pattern on the base card in a similar colour to the card lifted it a bit. This is a fab use of the gems!!!

Thank you for wanting to leave a comment. I HATE verification and apologise for the extra bother it causes, however, if I don't have it I get all sorts of dubious spam added and the comments would be bogged down utter ***p!

Occasionally I get comments on posts from several years ago, again, I have to apologise, copies of TEMPLATES etc. that I once offered are now NO LONGER AVAILABLE, when my last computer died, I lost everything and decided not to replace any them.
