A Touch of Embroidery

My embroidered badges never really took of when I made them.  I used my Bandai Badge It and scoured car boots and charity shops for old embroidered tray/table cloths to cut up and use for them.  But now I have noticed that Primark are selling fabric earrings and Assessorize put various badges on their some of their bags, so perhaps I am a bit ahead of the trend!!!!

I passed a lot to follower Marc who is doing very lovely things with them, so I am hoping he will send me a picture for the gallery very soon.

I did  keep one or two back and  decided to revisit them,  taking the pins off the back and using the body as an embellishment on a card, adding some flat backed gems.  I am quite pleased with the result and will probably now make a few more, especially with Mother’s Day in mind.

  3. As always your creations make me want to rush to my craft area rather than get ready to go to work. Must dig out my embroidered 'bits'. I am going to be late today!

  6. I am very lucy man to have got a collection of the embriodered bits and the irst thing it did was for me to pull out some embriodered flowers i did my self when i first started to sew they were so simmilar it was scary but what helen had done was brought them to life again i love the use of them on cards but i was going to make the one she sent me in to book marks that you could wear as well ie you have two with a chain threaded with embriodary thread or ribbion printed with words of inspiration or and you were on a lapel or knitted jumper to one side but while not wearing it you could place it in the pages of a book ,i know a bit old romantic but very retro now i also want to put a few a round a old frame that had been laced and then plasterd over and washed in complimentry colouers and soft guilded to bring out the lace almost like a grandmums keep sake i will have to have a real play at the mo i have been busy making cards for some friends but i thank helen for intrusting me with hers big love marc

Thank you for wanting to leave a comment. I HATE verification and apologise for the extra bother it causes, however, if I don't have it I get all sorts of dubious spam added and the comments would be bogged down utter ***p!

Occasionally I get comments on posts from several years ago, again, I have to apologise, copies of TEMPLATES etc. that I once offered are now NO LONGER AVAILABLE, when my last computer died, I lost everything and decided not to replace any them.
