I was a little disappointed to find that only one chocolate ladybird fit comfortably in this The Works matchbox. Two would have looked cute, but the top would have bulged and that wouldn’t look very professional, so I may just pad the box out with a little red tissue paper to make the ladybird look all cosy. I will look, but doubt if I will find any other suitable wrapped sweet that would maybe go with it, unless a small packet of Lovehearts would fit?
The box is lined with a heart patterned paper and then I have simply mat and layered the top and bottom using scraps from a Nordic style Christmas Paper and silver foil, with co-coordinating scraps down the sides.
So cute! Too bad two didn't fit, but they're still adorable.
ReplyDeleteSo cute - what a lovely idea for a little Valentine token.

Hi Helen
ReplyDeleteMr Bob and I have now caught up with all of your posts since you started blogging again and we have thoroughly enjoyed reading it all. I was so sorry to read about you losing precious people in 2016, but your determination to achieve what you needed for yourself absolutely shone through; I am in awe. You are such a strong lady.
I also admire your decision to downsize with vengeance. I need to do some life laundry and reading your blog is very inspiring. Your new home looks absolutely beautiful, very elegant and very calming.
Congratulations on Bertie, I gained another great nephew in May 2016 and he is absolutely adorable, he and his older brother bring the whole family much joy and laughter. I am also honoured as his mother, my niece, trusts me along with his grandparents to look after them.
May your blogging continue for as long as you are happy to blog. I for one enjoy reading it and catching up with events in your life. Thank you so much for sharing.
Jackie and Mr Bob -x-
LOVE THESES BIG LOVE MARC
