Halloween Scary Skeleton Hand Favor Box

Halloween Scary Skeleton Hand Favor Box
This is the first thing I made with one of my Poundworld scary skeleton Hands.
Papier Mache Box
The box is paper Mache from Hobbycrafts, I bought a whole pile of them when they were reduced to 49p for an assorted pack a little while ago.
Halloween Scary Skeleton Hand Favor Box 2
I’ve coloured it with the thick end of a black promarker pen, then punched two holes on either side to thread some cord through to make “handles”

The final touch is a flat backed gem stuck on the wrist.  Soooooo creepy but might appeal to a little boy to keep his treasures in!

Christmas Shopping Jotter

Christmas Shopping List Notebook
Everyone needs a shopping list at Christmas, and this is one of the first things I’ll be wrapping up and putting in my many pocketed Advent Calendar this year.
Shopping List bits
The base is a Morrison's jotter, which I’ve covered with a digi design paper and a few strips of white glitter paper (for the snow).  I’ve also used some black Glitterati stickers for the snowman’s eyes and mouth. The pencil is from a miniature set from Paperchase and the lettering is just using up odd self adhesive letters.
Christmas Shopping List Notebook 2
The snowman and background paper are a download called Little Joys from:- http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/home.php I think it cost $6.99 (about £4.50).
Christmas Shopping List Notebook 3
If I had a shopping list like this I would have to write in my best handwriting for fear of spoiling it!

Halloween Pumpkin Favour Tin

Halloween Pumpkin Favor Tin
The small metal tins that I have used for this idea were not one of mine and Lisa’s best buys.  They came as a pack of wedding favours from Hobbycraft, and were quite expensive and neither of us have used them since we bought them about a year ago, until now that is ……
Picture 535
As I am really into Halloween at the moment it suddenly dawned on me that the tins were the ideal shape for pumpkins, so I drew round one and made a very basic template.

And then it all sort of came together.
Halloween Pumpkin Favour Tin
A couple of wobbly eyes and a bit of doodling with a white and black gel pen and Pete’s your pumpkin! Now, what can I do with the other 23 tins …..?
Halloween Pumpkin Favaor Tin
My next conundrum is what to do with about thirty of these mini jam jars that I have collected from various hotel stays, in a Halloween or Christmas  type way!

Tiny House Advent Calendar

This is probably the tiniest Advent Calendar I have ever made. I’ve put a cotton bud by it so you can gauge the size.
Tiny Advent Calendar House
The tiny house chalkboard cost me 50p a couple of years ago, I loved it but it’s been in my drawers ever since because I didn't know what to do with it.
Tiny Advent Calendar House 1
In fact everything I’ve used here have been odds and ends that I’ve squirreled away, waiting for that “Ulrika” moment!
Tiny Advent Calendar House 2
The wooden tag, which I’ve handwritten, cost me 15p and  the snowman embellishment is a button that I have just added a bit of colour to using Sharpies pens.

All I need now is a small piece of chalk or a dressmakers chalk pencil so that I can mark off the days!

Jingle Bell Friendship Bracelets

Friendship Bells Christmas Friendship Bracelets
I thought this was an original idea until I went on Google and found someone had beaten me too it!  Ho, Ho, Ho!.
 Jingle Bell Friendship bracelet
I’ve used really small bells from Papercellar (99p per packet, available in red and green), silver spacer beads that I had already and 0.5mm waxed thread. When the beads and bell were threaded I tied a single knot on each side to stop them from moving.
Papercellar green and red bells
I’ve also made them a little card to give them a more professional look and then slipped that into a cello bag.  I thought they would make a cheap and easy present for children to make for their friends or something to pop in a homemade cracker or Advent Calendar etc.

This  set will go into my Many Pocketed Advent Calendar.

Oh My Life!

I wonder if anyone else has spotted the rogue wibbly wobbly eye that managed to stray onto my Advent House!!!!

Halloween Spiders Web Cadbury Chocolate Bar

Halloween Spiders Web Chocolate Bar
I am having so much fun thinking up ideas for chocolate bars. I’ve worked out that this bar has cost me no more than 10p to make, which is brilliant.
Halloween Spiders Web Chocolate Bar 2
The web and spider are made using two Quickutz Silhouette design downloads, but to be honest you could make this just as easily by drawing the web on the paper and making your own spiders.

Finally Finished - My Tesco Advent Calendar House

Tesco Advent House 1
I’ve never done anything big like this before ….and I am so chuffed, once I had sorted out which papers to use it all sort of came together.
Tesco Advent House 1e Tesco Advent House 1c
I reckon in all I have spent about 30 hours on it.
Tesco Advent House 2
As you know I am very much a less is more crafter, but on this, it was more, more, more and then some more!
Tesco Advent House 1d Tesco Advent House 1b
I ought to run a competition to guess how many clear gems I’ve used.
Tesco Advent Calendar House 3a
I hope, when I snuff it, this is what my children fight and testify my will over!!!
Tesco Advent Calendar 2c
I can’t believe it, but I even lined the bottom of the drawers!

All I need to do now is find a tiny little “something” to put in each drawer!

I think this has got to be my favourite make ever!

Boo Brew and Witches Warts Halloween Favors (Cadbury Drinking Chocolate)

Boo Brew 3
I’ve used a download called Boo Brew from ScrappinDoodles for this Halloween Hot Chocolate http://www.scrappindoodles.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=23&products_id=1746 it cost $1.00 which is about 63p English money.
Boo Brew 1
I fiddled about with the images in the set until I came up with a design/backing sheet that fitted my 145mm x 145mm self sealing cello bag.
Boo Brew 2
I’ve put in a sachet of hot chocolate, some mini marshmallows (from Home Bargains 89p, I think), which I have sealed with my Elitech bag sealer to keep them really fresh, a Marks & Spencer lolly from a pack of four (99p) for a stirrer and a couple of spider rings taken from a Poundworld Halloween Bumper bag of bits.

…… And, is it me or do Rainbow Drops look like Witches Warts????

I need to get a hobby!!!!!

Anitas's 3D Laser Stickers - Snowman Sweetie Bags

Anita's Snowmen 3D Laser Stickers
After my disappointment yesterday over this years Accessorize stickers, I thought I would show my favourite Christmas stickers of this year (so far)......., they are from Anita’s and cost about £1.50ish. I wasn't sure about them at first, but once I started using them I loved them more and more
Anita's 3D Laser Stickers
They come in snowmen, penguins and Santa designs and are all equally lovely! As soon as I saw them I thought sweetie bags! I’ve used Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisps and my Stampin Up scalloped and plain circle punches to make them.
Elizabeth Shaw Mint Christmas FavoursElizabeth Shaw Mint Crisp Christmas Favors 2
I’ve used a bit more detail on the toppers than usual, adding white glitter paper to the bottom of each plain circle and then adding faux stitching and snowflakes using a white gel pen.
Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisp Christmas Snowmen Favours
On the reverse side of each sweet I have handwritten “Happy Christmas” on a plain white circle and then finished off exactly the same as the front.
I am going to make some more sweetie bags using the penguins and Santa's which I will post as soon as they are done.

Decorated Cadbury Miniatures using Accessorize Christmas Stickers

Accessorize Stickers Snowmen
I made these quickly last night (before The Apprentice!!!!) just to see how the snowmen stickers would look on Cadbury Dairy Milk Miniatures.
Accessorize Christmas Stickers Accessorize Snowman Stickers
Everyone knows how much I love Accessorize stickers ….. and after their brilliant Halloween range I was anticipating very great things ……. Well, yesterday I heard that the Christmas ones had hit the shops, so my lovely sister was hastily sent on “a mission” ………….. but I am so disappointed ………… and hoping that there has been a huge mix up at the distribution centre and that the “real” stickers will soon appear in the shops!
The snowmen are the same as last year! And, I wasn’t that keen on them then.  As for the laser effect stickers – I’m not impressed, the gingerbread man is especially awful as is the snowman. My heart sank when I saw them ….. my sister got me two packs of each, and I will use them all, but I don’t think I will buying anymore. (£1.75 per pack)
Next port of call for my sister was Paperchase, where she got me one pack each of their two Christmas designs ….. (£1)
Paperchase Christmas StickersPaperchase Puffy Christmas stickers
Hmmmmm, quite cute, but every single sticker has a face on it, now that’s ok for the Santa and penguins, etc. but I don’t really like my holly or Yule log to have one too, a bit odd.
Picture 634
I must sound really grouchy, I’m sorry …..  The other set of stickers from Paperchase are “OK”…. quite cartoony, with a modern feel and I think I will be able to make some quite quirky cards with them
