Oh my goodness, what was I thinking (above)? I was trying to do something a little different from my normal less is more style, in an effort to use up some of the bits and pieces, like the snowman and corner peel offs that I’ve had for ages but never used, but somewhere along the line something went very hideously wrong ……
…… it was the addition of the Poundland, self adhesive strips of clear gems!!! Too much, far too much!
I just couldn’t live with it, so I carefully removed the central panel and cut a 6ins x 6ins grey gingham card blank to stick it on to……

Hi Helen. Umm, must be honest my first reaction on seeing that first picture was "Wow, that one is not for me!".
I am glad that you had a change of heart about the gems as the second card is lovely, with that cute snowman.
We have try these things don't we or we would never anything new, and how boring would that be! Take care.
I also like your second layout better. I love your honesty in sharing what doesn't work as well as what does!
well pal i like both its christmas and thats all about over the top glitter and gems you can never have to much for some but i also like the less is more one to so in this one card you have pleased to camps a good move lol big love marc
Cute snowman. Your 'revised' creation is definitely better. So easy to get carried away isn't it?
