Wedding Card

Wedding card 1
Making cards to order can be a bit scary because some people have a very clear idea of what they want when they ask me.
Picture 214 Picture 213
The lady who wanted this card was very exact, she knew what she wanted written on the front and on both sides of the insert …..

The bride and groom is a download from Quickutz Silhouette, but  I shortened the arms and intertwined them to fit the card blank better.

The flowers are made using a variety of punches with clear flat backed gems in the centre.

The font I have used on the front and inside is Papyrus.

Caravan Wedding Card

This has got to be my favourite card of all time!
Caravan Wedding Card
I was asked to make a card for a hippy couple who were spending their honeymoon in a caravan, and I just love a challenge!
Caravan Wedding Card 1
……. And how fortuitous was it that Quickutz Silhouette had just added a set of caravans to their download designs!!!
Caravan
I’ve cut the details out in blue card (something blue) and then added the curtains and just married sign.  I thought if I handwrote all the sentiments it would add to the casual “hippy” effect.

18th Birthday Card Using Quickutz Silhouette and Punches

18th Birthday Card using Punchies
There isn’t too much to this card.  The background is a DCWV paper from Granny’s Kitchen (I think). The numbers and letters were cut on my Quickutz Silhouette.  The design is finished off using small daisy punchies with a red flat backed gem centre and faux stitching using a white gel pen.

Quickutz Silhouette Gift Box

Silhouette Quickutz Box Download
This is one of my favourite boxes, downloadable with subscription from Quickutz Silhouette.
Picture1 Quickutz Silhouette Download Box 3
It couldn’t be easier to put together and it looks quite classy when finished.

I love that the slider band keep it all together. I have made several of these for small presents with a couple of lacy hankies inside.
K & Company Grand Adhesions
I’ve decorated the slider with a K & Company Grand Adhesions 3D sticker. They usually cost £4.99, way out of my price zone, but I got these for half price in the summer in a garden centre sale!

A Poppy for Remembrance Sunday

As it’s Remembrance Sunday today I thought I would make something appropriate for the day and which I intend to give to my mum when I see her next.
Rememberance Day Poppy
The poppy was free a digital design download from Quickutz Silhouette where I have a monthly subscription.  As it was free, I don’t think it would be wrong of me to offer a copy of the file to anyone who would like it.
Rememberance Poppy
The centre is a huge silver brad that I have painted with a ceramic paint pen, as I didn’t want to use a black button on this occasion
If there was a crafting tool I would like to buy that I don’t think has been invented yet, it would be a “crumpler” – I love the crumpled look, but I’m not sure how to do it properly, I end up screwing things up into a ball over and over again but often risk the paper getting torn ….. come on Tim Holtz invent something for me – I am a damsel who needs to distress!

Halloween Spiders Web Cadbury Chocolate Bar

Halloween Spiders Web Chocolate Bar
I am having so much fun thinking up ideas for chocolate bars. I’ve worked out that this bar has cost me no more than 10p to make, which is brilliant.
Halloween Spiders Web Chocolate Bar 2
The web and spider are made using two Quickutz Silhouette design downloads, but to be honest you could make this just as easily by drawing the web on the paper and making your own spiders.

Halloween Haunted House

This Halloween House is a download design from Quickutz Silhouette that I have doodled and embellished.
Halloween Haunted House box
I was a bit disappointed because I thought it was a gift box, rather than a model.
Halloween Haunted House Box 2 Halloween haunted House Box 4
But I have decided that when I make up another house I will put the sweets inside before I seal it up and complete the roof.
Halloween Haunted House Box 3 Halloween Haunted House Box 5
So the treat is the sweets ……. but the trick is trying to get them out!  I am so wicked!!!
Halloween Haunted House Box 6
I’ve used a tiny silver brad for the door knob and the ghost, bats, spider and pumpkins are left over Poundland 3D stickers from last year.
Halloween Haunted House Box 7
It’s hard to see from the pictures, but the window shutters  do open. I’ve coloured them and the door with black felt pen.

Halloween Coffin Treat Box

 Halloween Trick or Treat Coffin
This project is made using a new Quickutz Silhouette design download, I hope it isn’t too ghoulish for you.
Coffin
The template is in two pieces and looked quite simple but to be honest was quite fiddle to put together.
Halloween Sweetie Coffin Box
The bat was originally a ring (I cut off the back) from a bag of assorted bits from Poundworld.
Poundworld Halloween
The plate is a piece of gold card that I have written on with a pen with no ink in.
Quickutz Halloween Coffin 2
And then I have finished the edges with a white gel pen, which just has to be one of the best pen inventions for crafters of all time!
Quickutz Halloween Coffin
The sweets are “Graveyard Rock” from Poundland!

Halloween Bat Cadbury Chocolate Bar

Halloween Bat Chocolate Bar
I have used a Quickutz Silhouette template download for this bat, but it’s such a simple shape it could easily be cut out by hand.
Halloween Chocolate Bar 3  Halloween Chocolate Bar 4
I’ve cut two bats and layered gluing the heads together to give a bit of dimension.
Halloween Chocolate Bar 3
I’ve added odd wobbly eyes, a black bead nose and a few lines using a white gel pen on the wings.
Halloween Bat Chocolate Bar 2
The paper I have wrapped the chocolate bar in is gift wrap which is really beautiful and ideal for this and other Halloween projects.

Thank You Card

 Picture 319

The “Thank You” sentiment on this card is a download from the Quickutz Silhouette site where I have a monthly subscription.
 Picture 321
The butterflies are made using my Martha Stewart Trio butterfly punch.
Picture 320
When I have searched for this punch on Google Images the ideas using it on other blogs are breathtaking.  Hopefully, when I have a little more time during the summer holidays I will be able to try a few out.

A Daisy Card for Daisy

Daisy
My apologies, these pictures have a definite tinge of blue to them, but the card itself is a really brilliant white!
Close Up Daisy
Making the card couldn’t have been more simpler – I have just cut the letters out using my Silhouette …..
Close Close Up
…… and then added a bit of faux stitching in green and punched out daisies with yellow flat backed gem centres. The gems were a much appreciated present from one of my readers, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Beaded Birthday Card

Charlee 2
This was a nightmare card to photograph! I made it all in ivory linen card to start with but as I began to prepare this post it just looked sooooooo wrong!
 Charlee
All the pictures I took were pants, it didn’t matter how I framed a photo, the card looked awful, although in “real life” it was quite pretty.
Cornerbeads
I used an assortment of seed beads, pearls and stars to embellish the lettering, which I cut on my Sihouette.Charlee 4
Charlee 1
Sometimes it is hard to know when to stop fiddling – but in the end I had to just fiddle some more, and think, it’s much better in black!
