A Large Thank You Card

This card is A5 in size and is made using a white linen effect hand cut card blank.
I don’t usually make cards these days, but I make this one for someone special at work. She had been given so many clothes and other bits and pieces for the baby she was expecting by her husbands work it had been quite overwhelming and she wanted to say a very special thank you…..
….. which gave me the idea of having a baby hiding behind one of the letters which were a jumble of capitals and lower case in an effort to use up odd letters, which were then faux stitched in black pen.
The flowers were already punched, they came from Lakeland when Lakeland had a crafts section, all I had to do was add the clear, flat backed gems.

Quick Thank You Card For A Sewer

This was a quick card to say Thank You to the PE Lady’s Mum who had mended a lot of netball bibs for us.

The t-shirts are buttons bought for no more than a pound a packet years ago from somewhere like Home Bargains. I’ve then stuck a letter on each using my old fashioned Dymo label maker. I found the plastic needle in my old pin box, long forgotten, but perfect for this idea. A bit of faux stitching and a button in each corner …. and it’s another card done and dusted!

Papermania Sunflowers Thank You Card

This card measures 14.5cm x 10.5 cm and is made using a white linen effect card.

I really ought make a lot more Thank You cards as they are something I always need!

I’ve used Papermania Signature Sunflower 3D border stickers on a background of  burnt orange coloured Bazzill paper (although, it looks pink in the picture above, goodness knows why).  The wording  is made using a self adhesive alphabet set, which is also, I think, from Papermania.

Deer Watching Thank You Card

Picture 050
I made this card for my sister to give as a “thank you” to a friend, who had taken her deer watching one evening.  Everything came together so well to make it.

I love and use googly eyes a lot, they are such a simple way to add character and humour to an image and/or card

Doodled Thank You Card

Close Up Doodled Thank You
I doodled the “Thank You” using a fine liner pen and my new Promarkers, then got stuck for a suitable background paper. It took a while, but in the end I plumped for this polka dot paper with silver mat and layering.

Thank You Card

 Picture 319

The “Thank You” sentiment on this card is a download from the Quickutz Silhouette site where I have a monthly subscription.

The butterflies are made using my Martha Stewart Trio butterfly punch.

When I have searched for this punch on Google Images the ideas using it on other blogs are breathtaking.  Hopefully, when I have a little more time during the summer holidays I will be able to try a few out.

Plain and Simple Thank You Card

White Thank you
I love the simplicity of using all white but it’s a devil to photograph!
White Close Up Thank you
I’ve used my Sizzix Boutique Embosser to emboss this Quickutz embossing die on white card. I’ve then cut around the edges and mounted it on a foam backed pad for added dimension..
To finish, I’ve added a little Hero Arts hologram glitter and a clear flat back gem.

Embossed Thank You Card

Purple Thank You
I used my Sizzix Boutique Embossing Machine and the flower embossing die that came with it to make this simple “Thank You” card.
Close Up Purple Thank you
I’ve filled in the petals of the flowers with Hero Arts hologram glitter and added a purple flat back gem to the centres.
