Paperchase Domed Heart Stickers

This card measures 5ins x 5ins and is made using a hand cut blank using white linen effect card
DSCF2044
These domed stickers are from Paperchase and cost £2 per pack. There are one or two small hearts in each dome which jiggle about, so it would have been rude not to buy them!
Paperchase Domed Heart Stickers
Rather than keep everything dead straight, as is my usual want,  I’ve set everything off at a jaunty angle on a background of Bazzill paper squares,  which I think has worked out quite nicely.

Pussycat Card

Accessorize Pussycat Card
This card measures 5ins x 5ins, but if I made it again I think I would change it to 4in square instead.
Pussycat card
I’ve used puffy pussycat head stickers from Accessorize (£1.75 per pack) and mounted them on small plastic, pastel coloured mosaic squares that I was given a while ago, which were just the  purrfect size for what I wanted!

Friends Forever

Freiends Forever
The background on this card is an old card gone wrong, which I’d kept as I knew I might be able to do something with it eventually.
Paperchase Stickers
The stickers are from Paperchase (£1 per pack), I loved the girls heads, and knew exactly how I’d use them, BUT why do they have to put faces on most the of the other stickers?  Ugh …. I know I just won’t use them.
Picture 795
I’ve used scraps of card for the girls dresses and then doodled the other bits … I wished they’d do a packet of just faces….. I could do so much with them!

A Little Bird Told Me …… Card

This card measures 13cm x 13cm and is made used a white linen effect card.
Picture 708
The owl stickers used on this card are from Paperchase and cost £1 a pack.   I’ve cut a square from a sheet of a A4 stripy glitter card and then sat the owls on the lines.  To fill in the gaps I’ve added a few very tiny daisies made using a punch from Hobbycraft and stuck clear flat backed gems in the middle of them. The centre panel is matted on silver mirror card.

Meow – Patchwork Cats

This is a design I use quite a lot, especially when I am using small stickers.
Meaow
These cat stickers are from Paperchase (£1 a packet)
patchwork cats
I have punched 9 small squares in three colours  using a scalloped punch and then stuck them onto a larger white square which has been mat and layered on silver. A few dots here and there and a bit of faux stitching finishes off the card.

Little Monsters

Little Monster card
Something for the boys today, using my 9 square template which is ideal for using up small puffy stickers from Accessorize and Paperchase.
Little Monsters Card
These stickers are from Paperchase and there are enough in one packet (cost £1) to make at least 4 cards, which is pretty good value for money.  I have used silver card as the background which helps make the monsters stand out as well as adding a bit of bling.

What’s On My Desk Wednesday

I did a bit of shopping in Bristol and Bath  – no earth shattering bargains or finds, but as it’s Wednesday and it’s all on my desk waiting to be put away, I thought I would share it all with you…….
Takeaway box 1 Top of takeaway box
These mini plastic takeaway boxes were from The Works – they are so cute – there are 4 in a pack for 99p, bargain!
Takeaway boxes
They will make brilliant favor boxes and I also reckon I would be able to stamp on them with StazOn ink.
Paperchase stickers
Stickers from Paperchase next ….. the hearts will make brilliant noses for animals.
Accessorise stickers Accessorize badges
And, naturally I had to have a nosey around Accessorize, just in case they had anything new in ….  the holiday themed stickers will come in useful for making a card for a friend who has just got a job in Tropical climes,  and I just loved the ice cream/cupcake badges, not cheap at £3.80 – but I plan to add a few flat backed gems to them and attach them to cards.
Kath Kidston paper
I found the Kath Kidston shop in Bath – oh my life, I wanted everything, but all I could afford were two sheets of reversible gift wrap! So many pretty things – but oh so expensive!
East of India Ribbonmetal tags
Lovely ribbon by East of India – always very useful at Christmas time (sorry …… I know its TOO early to mention THAT word) as it comes in muted colours and old fashioned texture. And some metal tags (60p each) which I will probably just slip into a kraft envelope and give instead of cards to special friends.  The mushroom is on a fat peg …. I thought it was an idea I could try ….. when I have the  time.
Poundland animal stickersPoundland Robot Stickers
Finally from Poundland – the animal and robots are bubble stickers – so they will add extra dimension to a card.  I don’t do many boy’s/men’s cards so I thought I would challenge myself to use the robot ones.
Poundland Fairy Princess Stickers
And last but not least some Fairy Princess stickers also from Poundland, so sweet.
So that’s it.  I won’t put them all away immediately, with two weeks off work I am going to try and use a lot of what I have here to replenish my card box in the staffroom which is  very empty at present.

I’ve Been Shopping ….

A couple of days a way from home ….. and lots of time for mooching…..
So from Paperchase ….

Picture 081
All £1 a packet – they are small, but ideal for when I make a card using nine small square punchies.
I am not sure what I am going to do with the Bear Hug stickers yet – they might be good on Hug in a Mug hot chocolate packs.
I want to try the butterflies on my glass pendants as they are transparent.
From Accessorize ….. at £1.75 a packet …
Picture 082
The dolls are soooooo sweet – and I thought the hearts in this pack would make brilliant noses for Easter Bunnies.
I couldn’t resist getting another packet of the bird stickers as I have had some new ideas on how to use them……
Then on to Primark ……..
Picture 085 Picture 088
These earrings were £2, but I got 18 embellishments from them, the photo doesn’t do justice to the very sparkly jewel in the centre.  I know its a long way off – but my immediate thought was snowflakes……
Picture 099 Picture 100
These cute sweeties are from Poundland – I think I will put two in a sweetie bag with a cute bunny topper.
nest
This nest is from Hobbycrafts - £1.99 – aint got a clue what to do with it ….. think I might just put some blue mini eggs in it and keep it on my shelf and see what they hatch into!
Picture 092
This is just pure indulgence from Harriet and Dee, a shop in Chester – when/if I have a crafty stall in the summer my braclets will look lovely hanging from it. (£5)

STOP PRESS – ACCESSORIZE CHRISTMAS STICKERS IN SHOPS NOW!!

I think anyone who knows me, also knows my obsession for Accessorize Puffy Stickers (…..found in the children's section, £1.75 per pack)
Well the Christmas range is out …. to be honest, they aren’t as cute as last years but still,  get a load of these beauties!
ass
Large stickers
Picture 043
They also have a set with Christmas fairies, they were very nice but the colours were just a bit too pastel for my taste.
Paperchase also have their Christmas stickers out – these are £1 a pack.  I think they are quite classy…..
Picture 046
…… and what I like best, is that the reindeer face both directions which keeps a design symmetrical.
I am very excited, I know exactly what I am going to do with them ….. watch this space …..

Little Monsters Card

Picture 191
This is a simple and quick child’s card using Paperchase stickers.  The  handwriting is my own!
Writing letters at odd angles is a quirky effect that means you can get away with the text not being exactly in line.
One of my trademarks on my cards is three tiny dots scattered here and there. In a line of characters like this, it sort of joins them together, making the pattern flow.

Assessorize and Paperchase Stickers

One of my favourite sources for small "puffy" stickers is, unbelievably, Assessorize, the clothes/accessories shop. I stumbled upon them on a stand in the children's area and have been a huge fan ever since. They are small and ideal for making toppers.

They are quite cheap, about £1.75 per pack, and I can usually get five to six toppers from one pack. They have several different sets at various times of the year, but be warned, get them when you see them, because once they are gone, they are gone!
My sister is on "special watch" for their Christmas stickers. Last year they were fabulous, (see Sizzix Christmas Matchbook), cute santas, reindeer, penguins, trees. I can't wait to see what they come up with this year. The cards I made with them just flew!
Paperchase, the stationary shop, also do brilliant stickers, about the same size as Assessorize but tend to be a bit cheaper. The cake topper above is made using Paperchase stickers, but I haven't got any pictures of their packets. Again they are seasonal and well worth looking for.
