Is There Such A Thing …..?

I have a whole box of mini jam jars (purloined from many hotel stays!), This morning I had an idea   …… I could make some mini lights for individual place settings for a party ….. BUT….. normal tea lights are too big …. and I wondered if you can get mini tea light type candles,  any ideas??

I saw that you could buy the casings for tea lights in hobbycraft, maybe you could cut them down somehow n make ur own?

you could take the wick out of the tea light often the just pull out from the bottom( If not heat a needdle and melt the wax around the wick) then you cold melt the tea light down place the wick with its small metal disk in the bottom of the jar and pour the melted wax in to the jar its self and let set its worth a try big love marc

I think the wax crystals and wicks I bought at the Ideal Home Exhibition would work really well but the initial outlay may be more than you want (You have to buy a big bag of crystals!). I will give it a try and let you know how I get on.

Just saw Marc's comment- this is basically what I do when I make candles in china teacups I get from charity shops. It is cheaper than the wax crystal option mentioned in previous comment but messier.

I did have some once, but can't for the life of me remember where they came from! Means they must be out there somewhere though!

I had a tin of mini candles, years ago, which would fit them, here's a similar set - http://www.scentedcandleshop.com/online_store/ashleigh_burwood_sensuality_travel_kit_patchouli_ylang_ylang_1.cfm?sCurrencyCode=GBP&utm_medium=google_shopping&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=google_shopping_uk
