I have found that the best price to get these mints is BM Bargains as I prefer the milk ones. A box there usually costs £1.99. Finding them in the supermarket is generally a bit hit and miss but they usually cost about £3.69 a box, unless they are on BOGOF. When I see them in BM Bargains I always check the best before date first (these were August 2014) and then stock up!

Tesco had some rather lovely red ameretto flavoured ones, I had to sample a couple before I made mine ;)

I love seeing your mints - I made Marillion themed ones earlier this year for their fan convention in Wolverhampton to give as a little gift to all my online friends who I was meeting at the event. I am currently making some Christmas themed ones which I will feature on my blog soon - I always send people back to your original blog post on how to make them. Thank you for all your inspiration x
Hi Helen. Great idea to put a load of decorated mints in a box. I have done something similar but added ribbon loops so they could also be hung on the tree for some of the family, and then given them early in December. Thanks for the tip on where to get them cheapest! Take care.
