THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Thank you everyone who suggested “profitable” ways of off loading my unwanted stash …… thank you Joanold and Di especially as my memberships to “Card Craft Items for Sale” and “Crafty De-stashing” on Facebook is now pending.
I am presently “de-stashing” my two drawers of jewellery collected over the past 30 odd years. Special pieces have got  Iris, Laura and Lucy’s names on for when I eventually pop my clogs, other pieces I will keep for me and let family and friends fight over as and when the time comes,  but I have decided that it’s now time to part the ways with all the other pieces I have found in flea markets and carboots that I’ve worn and loved but no longer wear, to be honest I would rather have any money that I get for these pieces put aside ready to put towards some new bits and pieces for my eventual move than have them sat sitting in a drawer mouldering!!!
With the new avenues/links that I’ve been sent  I can now start thinking about de-stashing my crafty stuff properly too, so .....here’s another question though …. how would you start to sell a huge, under the bed box full of 12” x 12” papers?  Suggestions much appreciated!

I sold masses of 12" x 12" papers in those groups. I packaged it in large pizza boxes, sometimes cut down to just 2 sheets of cardboard and sandwiched the papers in between. Then I put it in a large polythene mailing bag 41 x 60cm (from Amazon). I found that My Hermes was the cheapest for sending that size of parcel, as RM charge by size as well as weight, but make sure everything is securely packaged. Take photos and just list them. I sold mine in sets of same make as most was for scrapbooking, but I've seen others sold in job lots of mixed papers. Plain card always sells well if realistically priced.

When settling on a price, think of the price that you want to receive, then add on postage and packaging, then add on Paypal fees of 3.4%, and then add on 20p per paypal transaction. That's your final price. So, if I was listing something that I wanted to get £5.00 for my calculation would be:

£5.00 + £3.20 = £8.20 + 3.4% = £8.48 + 20p = £8.68. I would list it as £5.50 + £3.20 p&p.

OMG Helen! That's a tricky-woo one about the !2 x 12 papers BUT, de-stashing FB sites do seem to have 'call and collect' options to save postage if you give the vague location (never reveal yer address on t'internet publicly - not that I need to say that really!). Just don't give stuff away and you could be very surprised at how much you could make. Why not keep a tally - which will then encourage loads of us hoarders too? Hey gal, wanna buy some once only used stamps? :)
