The card measures 5ins x 5ins and uses a hand cut, Kraft card blank as a base.
Adding the colour, despite being done very carefully, just looks crude and “unprofessional”, it hasn’t worked, the card doesn’t need it. However, I think adding a trail of translucent glitter through the snow has worked ……. The sentiment was handwritten using a fine liner pen which I think also works, but, could be presented a little better, by mat and layering ………. so it’s back to the drawing board yet again!
House embellishments came from e-bay

How fantastic! Love what you have done with it. Agree a little micro glitter would be a sweet addition for Christmas themed uses. Could you post a link to the source of the houses please? Would love some of these! Thank you x
These are sweet Helen. I dont have any house that small but do have some cardboard cutouts that would make a larger card. Hmm. now there's a thought. Hugs Mrs A.
'...so it’s back to the drawing board yet again!' I wouldn't be so sure, actually I think its simplicity is perfect - definitely NOT one for the bin! Maybe the coloured roof wasn't strictly necessary, but it doesn't ruin the effect. I like the hand written greeting as it is (would that my handwriting was that neat)! The silver mat and glitter trail add the right amount of sparkle. BTW, I can't seem to find a 'Mark 1' version :)
Thanks for the link, really love these X
I think this card works just as it is. If you're dissatisfied with it, just keep it in a "use when in a pinch" pile. I always have a few of those. I usually end up giving them to people like the guy who delivers our daily paper. I don't even know what he looks like - he comes at 5 a.m., but I do want him to know that I appreciate his faithful service, so I give him a card and a tip during the holidays. :)
i like both the glitter trail is perfect and a small amount of translucent glitter on the eves of the roof would look ok you could back some of them with parchment to fill in the windows another great Christmas card big love marc
