Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Felt Brooches

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals 4
I’ve been using my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to make some last minute, very quick brooches and hair slides for stocking fillers.

I’ve used Paperchase felt for the top ones, it’s a bit expensive at £2 for an A4 piece but it is much thicker and more substantial than other felts I have tried, almost double the thickness.

And for the others I have used Mr Fiddle Farts old work jeans and some cream coloured loose weave material from Dunelm Mill. I’ve also made a couple of hair clips too using a set of bits from Poundworld.

I think the felt brooches would look good pinned onto a matching woolly scarf or hat.

And perhaps the denim brooches pinned to a plain cream shopping bag

i love them love the denim ones and a whole bag covered in them would be fab remember the ones we saw on the portobello market for around £40 also great on cards and even done in different old fabrics as part of wedding favors that could double as part of the nappking rings table settings or just on the tables like confettie or you could buy cheap cushions and pin/tack these on or on curtain tie backs or on the end of a blind or curtains so much you could do with these great way to use up old cloths espicaly at this time of year when you are having a clean out i saw a lovley bed runner coverd in shabby flowers like this at a show the other week it was £600 and was just a meter wide strip of cotton with lots of shabby cotton flowers in white and cream on ,it was totaly inpractical but looked fab and very expensive which it was but you could easly make one with these fab helen big love marc
